To Our Home Care Providers:

My name is Darrell Smith and I would like to take a few minutes to introduce myself and my company, Tennessee Medical Equipment Inc., to you. I have worked in the HomeCare field since 1982 starting as a driver and working my up to Center Manager for two locations for a national company. Each office was required to service any equipment we provided to our customers and that meant servicing units after hours and sometimes even in the patient's home. Preventive maintenance was something unknown in the home care industry in those days. We had developed many procedures for equipment management and  I personally had received many hours of training on equipment, equipment servicing and FDA requirements.

After talking to many of the home care companies in the area, I found that many times equipment had begun to pile up in their warehouse either because they did not have the training to repair this equipment or lacked the personnel. When Tennessee Medical Equipment Inc. began operation in January of 1994, our goal was to provide area home care providers with a quality service for all the equipment that they provided to their patients.

Tennessee Medical Equipment now provides these services and many more to more than 200 equipment providers in the Mid-South. We also provide our services to many customers outside the Mid-South by shipping and receiving equipment by truck lines.
